BELLUM BAR

Two words; force multiplier. Forged from one solid piece of steel, this tool makes anyone who wields it an army of one. Engineered for strength, utility, and innovation, the Bellum Bar was built to raise the bar. We threw away the idea of paring a flathead axe or simple striking tool and set out to design a tool specifically built to be married with the Halligan. The result was a tool that was so effective, that the prototype that our owner built in his garage with square stock, tube steel and flat bar, was immediately put in service on the streets of Seattle.

Jason Allen, the creator of the Bellum Bar, goes over all the features of the tool. Forged from one solid piece of steel, the Bellum coupled with the Halligan is poised to become the next marriage of the fire service.

The Bellum Bar marries with the Pro-Bar Halligan to provide more leverage and torque, turning a 30:1 mechanical advantage into a 56:1 mechanical advantage.

What is it?

  • With its notched head and engineered jaw, the Bellum will easily lock onto the forks or adz of the Halligan, turning a 30:1 mechanical advantage into a 56:1. Now, you can carry a long bar everywhere you have the marriage.

  • The 3” adz gives you the added throw when the conventional adz of the Halligan just isn’t enough.

  • The Bellum can also function as a lock puller. For the times when preserving the integrity of the door is a priority.

  • With a 6lb head weight, this tool delivers powerful strikes for driving that gap open when forcing doors or smashing through material during overhaul.

  • Let’s be honest, when was the last time you used an axe to cut through anything substantial on scene? The beveled fork of the adz on the Bellum are sharp enough to cut through metal and will deliver a more concentrated point of impact.

  •  If you’re in a pinch and need a hydrant wrench, you’re in luck.

  • The hooked striking face of the tool protects your hands, incorporates a hydrant wrench and allows the tool to be used as an anchor devise in the event of an emergency bail out.

  • Hollowed I-beam construction for reduced weight while maintaining strength.

  • Clamshell rubberized handle increases grip and gives you the option to remove if you wanted to add your own custom grip tape.

  • And then there’s the “can opener”. Designed to peel back full-length metal guards on outward swinging commercial doors, every curve has a purpose. Extended curve for prying and wedging, notched mouth to marry with the forks of the Halligan, lower jaw for prying up materials, and a carabiner connection point to allow the tool to be used as an anchor in an emergency.
